British-Nigerian heavyweight boxing sensation, Anthony Joshua, has paid a deeply emotional and permanent tribute to two integral members of his inner circle who tragically lost their lives in a car accident in Nigeria late last year. The two-time heavyweight champion had the names “SINA” and “LATZ” tattooed onto his right arm, specifically positioning them directly beneath the outline of Africa on his biceps, a gesture honoring the lasting impact his friends had on his life and career.

The heartfelt tribute was made public by the London-based tattoo parlor, Fulham Tattoo, which shared images of the artwork on their Instagram page. According to the studio, Joshua walked into their shop unannounced just a few weeks ago for his first session with them, showcasing the spontaneous and personal nature of the decision to honor his lost companions in this manner.

Sina Ghami and Latif “Latz” Ayodele were not just colleagues but trusted friends, serving as crucial pillars within Joshua’s training team. Ghami was his long-time strength and conditioning coach, while Ayodele was his personal trainer. The pair tragically passed away on December 29, 2025, when the Lexus SUV they were traveling in collided with a stationary truck along the busy Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in Ogun State.

Joshua, who was also a passenger in the vehicle at the time of the horrific accident, survived the crash with minor injuries. Following the incident, he was hospitalized for treatment before being discharged and returning to the United Kingdom to grieve with family and friends. Despite the overwhelming emotional toll, the boxer attended the funerals of both men, joining the global boxing community in paying their final respects.
