Kwara United Boss Attributes Win to Return of Key Injured Players
Kwara United Technical Adviser Ashifat Suleiman believes that the timely return of previously injured players was the decisive factor behind his team’s crucial 2−0 victory over Niger Tornadoes on Sunday.
Dependable NG reports that midfielders Toheeb Gidado and Olanrewaju Abdulrahman made their return to the squad for the match. Gidado, in particular, played a pivotal role against the Ikon Allah Boys and was awarded the Player of the Match for his impressive performance in the midfield.
Suleiman commended the entire squad for demonstrating determination and character in securing the vital three points at home.
“I’m satisfied with my players’ performance,” Suleiman told Sportslighthub. “My boys showed great characters and we were further boosted by the return of some previously injured players.”
Following the win, Kwara United moved up to 10th position on the league table, having accumulated 21 points from 16 matches played so far in the NPFL season.
