Sokoto Approves Early Salaries for Ramadan
Sokoto State Governor Ahmed Aliyu has authorized the early disbursement of February salaries to all state workers, aimed at providing financial relief ahead of the holy month of Ramadan. According to a statement released on Thursday by the Director General of Media and Publicity, Abubakar Bawa, the payments are scheduled to begin on Friday, February 13, 2026.
This directive covers a wide array of public sector employees, including those in the State Civil Service, all Local Government Councils, the Local Government Education Authority, and pensioners across the state. The administration designed this gesture to assist civil servants in preparing for the spiritual activities and expenses associated with the fasting period.
Governor Aliyu urged the workforce to reciprocate this effort by demonstrating increased dedication, punctuality, and sincerity in their duties. He emphasized that enhanced productivity is necessary for the government to fulfill its mandate and meet the high expectations of the people of Sokoto State.
Reaffirming his administration’s dedication to worker welfare, the Governor promised continued efforts to build a strong, effective, and motivated civil service. He also expressed gratitude to the residents for their ongoing prayers and support for his government’s initiatives.
