Super Eagles head coach, Éric Chelle, has bestowed the title of ‘best striker in the world’ upon Victor Osimhen following the player’s phenomenal performance in the recent World Cup qualifying match.
Dependable NG reports that the striker, who plays his club football for Galatasaray, was the undisputed star of the night, securing a stunning hat-trick as Nigeria delivered a dominant 4−0 victory over the Benin Republic. This crucial win sees the Super Eagles advance into the 2026 FIFA World Cup playoffs. Osimhen netted two goals in the opening half and completed his tally shortly after the break, showcasing his devastating form and ensuring the team’s progression. Head coach Chelle, a Malian, was quick to salute the exemplary display of his star player after the final whistle. “I am very happy for my players, especially the best striker in the world, Victor (Osimhen),” he stated.
